1 Hambletonian Society
The Hambletonian Society is a non-profit organization formed in 1924 to sponsor the race for which it was named, the Hambletonian® Stake.
2 Harness Horse Breeders of NYS, Inc.
The Harness Horse Breeders of New York State seeks to advance and improve the breeding and quality of New York-eligible trotters and pacers, while increasing public awareness and enthusiasm for Harness Racing. In doing so, it fosters cooperation between breeders, owners, trainers, racetracks, fans, and others interested in a vibrant breeding and racing industry in NYS.
3 Harness Horse Youth Foundation
Established in 1976, the Harness Horse Youth Foundation addresses youth education throughout the United States and Canada. A charitable organization, the HHYF continues to enlarge and improve its programs.
4 Harness Horsemen’s Association of Central New York
The Harness Horsemen’s Association of Central New York represents the interests of owners, trainers, and drivers in the Central New York region.
5 Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame
Located in Goshen, NY, the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame is dedicated to comprehensive, active and authoritative support and promotion of the Standardbred industry through documentation and preservation of the history and traditions of this American-born sport.
6 New York State 4-H Youth Program
In settings like clubs, camps, after-school programs, and trips, the 4-H Youth Development program helps diverse youth and adults reach their fullest potential. Members have opportunities to connect to Cornell University, learn through hands-on activities, lead, be inspired, inspire others, and...so much more. The Agriculture & NYS Horse Breeding Development Fund provides grants to support the 4-H Horse Program.
7 Southern Tier Harness Horsemen’s Association
The Southern Tier Harness Horsemen’s Association is an incorporated not for profit organization whose purpose is to serve and represent the horsemen racing at Tioga Downs.
8 Standardbred Owners Association of New York
The Standardbred Owners Association of New York represents the interests of owners, trainers and drivers who regularly compete at Yonkers Raceway.
9 Standardbred Retirement Foundation
The Standardbred Retirement Foundation, Inc. is a private, non-profit, tax exempt organization created to care for, rehabilitate and secure lifetime adoption of non-competitive racehorses, to ensure their proper care with follow up, and combine the needs of youth at risk and these horses in therapeutic equine programs to benefit both.
10 The American Association of Equine Practitioners
The AAEP's mission is to improve the health and welfare of the horse, to further the professional development of its members, and to provide resources and leadership for the benefit of the equine industry.
11 Unwanted Horse Coalition
The Unwanted Horse Coalition represents a broad alliance of equine organizations that have joined together under the American Horse Council to educate the horse industry about the unwanted horse issue.
12 US Trotting Association
The U.S. Trotting Association governs the sport of harness racing for the entire United States. The membership is divided into 11 districts covering the United States.
13 Western New York Horsemen’s Association
The Western New York Harness Horsemen's Association, Inc. is an organization of owners, trainers, drivers and breeders of standardbred horses whose purpose is to promote the welfare of harness racing in Western New York, and in so doing promote the welfare of its members.
14 NYS Health Assurance Program
The NYS Horse Health Assurance Program, a voluntary certification program, is designed to promote and to teach a pro-active approach to equine health, care, and welfare through the use of certain “best management practices” or standards. It is part of the New York State Department of Agriculture’s Division of Animal Industry.
